For One Day Only The Carnival Is In A Theatre!
The SHAW THEATRE has been the perfect venue to showcase the creativity, heritage & artistic excellence of Carnival & display, in a staged performance, the history of the London Carnival illustrated in song, dance & costume featuring the foremost exponents of what will be presented on the roads of North Kensington in a theatre setting.
This is not an alternative to Carnival but complimentary to: increasing engagement in street arts & championing diverse opportunities for positive involvement. Through a one-off show, this programme will attract wider audiences & participants with the opportunity to see in one place, the full diversity of art forms that make up the Carnival.
Our showcase aims to show how Carnival has brought us together as one community and one family by bringing together artists from diverse genres, backgrounds and different walks of life.
